Southwestern Petroleum Corporation contacted LevelTen in 2007 looking to design a new web presence, but after internal changes the project was dropped for several years and not picked up until the fall of 2011. The previous site was very dated, built on static HTML, and lacked a smooth end user experience that today's savvy web visitors expect. Working on a tight budget, it was important for SWEPCO to gain a great deal of new and additional functionality combined with a new design that was within their budget.
LevelTen recommended our Open Enterprise solution with a pre-designed theme from Antsin themes. This allowed for a great deal of pre-packaged functionality and a professional design at an affordable cost. Taking the Antsin theme and using our internal design and UX teams, we modified the Vivacity theme to the current design found at http://swepcolube.com, giving them a semi-custom design at a fraction of the cost of a custom site built from the ground up. To host the new website, LevelTen recommended Acquia's Dev Cloud with a battle-tested environment pre-configured for Drupal, separate development, testing, and production environments, a drag-and-drop interface, the ability to manage multiple sites per server, and automatic nights and single-click on-demand backups and restores.
The staff at Southwestern Petroleum Corporation loves the new Open Enterprise site built on Drupal. It provides them with an easy to manage website where they can post blogs, job opportunities, information about their services, and new product offerings.
