Inbound Links

Inbound Links

Also called backlinks, inbound links are [[hyperlinks]] which point to the subject site from other websites. These can be checked using specific link popularity checking tools. These are the opposite of outbound links, which are links pointing at off site domains. Secondly, they are not considered internal links linking to other pages within the same domain. In general the more inbound links you have, the more weight your site is given in the search engines especially Google, which was originally build based on the PageRank thesis.
