Local Directories and City Portals

Just read a very good article regarding Rebirth of the City Portal by Justin Sanger. This is a good history lesson that points out the fact that there were many Internet startups in the booming '90s that recognized the value of local search. As Justin points out, the basic need and concept for local information, local search or community portals, whatever you want call them, has not changed for over a century. It is worth the time and effort to make sure your business has listings in these directories and portals and that the information is correct. As I said in the previous post. Do it now! kv
