Outreach

At LevelTen, we believe in being active participants in the community spaces in which we work. By maintaining an active status in the Drupal, web design, Internet marketing, and local communities, we stay better educated and form more lasting relationships with others in our fields. Below is a sampling of some of the events we sponsor, attend, and actively participate in.

DRUPAL CAMP Dallas

Since its inception in 2009, LevelTen has been the founder and organizer of the annual DrupalCamp Dallas and works with the Dallas Drupal Users Group and local Drupal community to plan and execute this must-attend event on the Drupal Camp schedule.  Many luminaries in the worldwide Drupal pantheon have attended, spoken at, or keynoted at one of the four we've done so far.  We are busy preparing for 2013 right this very minute..

Dallas DRUPAL Users Group

Founded five years ago by members of LevelTen and several other local Drupal companies, the Dallas Drupal Users Group (DDUG) has steadily grown to over 600 members, one of the largest Drupal user groups in the world.  Held monthly at the LevelTen offices and featuring a variety of rotating local and national Drupal expert speakers, DDUG draws an increasingly large crowd monthly with some members driving over 200 miles for meetings.

Drupal is about community, and LevelTen is proud to organize and sponsor this opportunity to share Drupal with beginners and experts alike.

REGIONAL DRUPAL CAMPS

Drupal Camps happen because the best developers and leading business owners want to cross paths, exchange ideas, find partners and conceive projects. It is an opportunity for Drupal users, developers, designers and decision makers to build community ties and strengthen Drupal’s future.

LevelTen has attended, sponsored and presented at DrupalCamps all over the country, including Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis / St. Paul, New York, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, and more.

DrupalConS - Chicago, SAN FRANCISCO, DENVER, ...

LevelTen has been attending and sponsoring the big annual worldwide Drupal conference, DrupalCon for many years.  LevelTen founder and head strategist Tom McCracken has spoken on the topics of Internet Marketing and Drupal project management.

We brought our website Love Tester to DrupalCon Denver in 2012 and even Drupal founder Dries Buytaert couldn't resist seeing if his own website was Clammy or Hot Stuff!

And we are looking forward to DrupalCon Portland coming up in May 2013.  Guess we need some sort of coffee-based booth gadget this time.

Teaching Drupal and Results-Oriented Web

Helping others get the most from their websites and Drupal is important to LevelTen.  In addition to our paid Drupal training classes, we offer regular totally free half-day Intro to Drupal courses at our office, often coinciding with Global Drupal Training Days, as well as an ongoing low-cost Drupal course at our local community college.

LevelTen started and has been growing the Results Oriented Web meetup group, offering free monthly seminars on improving your business on the web with SEO, content, social media, and more.

A rising tide lifts all boats!

Big D Design Conference

The Big D Design Conference is two intense days of learning within the scope of Strategy, Social Media, User Experience, and Code Development. Experts from across the country will gather to present theories, research, experiences, and best practices to students, professionals, and executives looking to stay on the bleeding edge.

Last year, Tom McCracken presented a talk entitled “Agile or Irrelevant”, drawing from his decades of technology and development process experience.

Community Meetups

LevelTen stays active with the local tech and design communities, including Agile / SCRUM, Web and Print Designers, SEO / SEM / Internet marketing, PHP and CiviCRM.
