Fort Worth's Kimbell Art Museum Selects LevelTen for Website Redesign

Dallas, Texas March 16, 2012—The prestigious Kimbell Art Museum has selected LevelTen Interactive, a leading interactive agency in Dallas, to design and develop its new website. The Kimbell, often referred to as “America’s jewel box,” is recognized internationally for the architectural achievement of its building and remarkable permanent collection. Consisting of about 350 works that epitomize their eras and styles, the Museum’s collection touches on individual high points of aesthetic beauty and historical importance. Famed architect Louis I. Kahn’s original Museum building is renowned as a mecca of modern architecture that has inspired museum design around the world. A second building, designed by Pritzker Prize–winning architect Renzo Piano, is scheduled to open in 2013 and will provide space for special exhibitions, allowing the Kahn building to showcase the permanent collection. It will also feature dedicated education spaces and an approximately 300-seat auditorium. LevelTen will work with stakeholders at the Kimbell to create a website that reflects the understated beauty and significance of the Museum’s architecture and collection, while emphasizing its accessibility and community opportunities. The new website will focus on innovative display and content delivery, user experience, and overall performance. It is expected to launch late this year, with ongoing additions coinciding with the opening of the Renzo Piano building.
