In The Search Market Google is the 800lb Gorilla

Working in an environment where search placement is so precious, it's hard to believe I've been misstating numbers in Yahoo and MSN's favor. While looking at the Alexa.com home page today I came across an interesting bit of information that leads me to believe that the Google stronghold only continues to get larger. According to the findings Google has over 80% of the search market; with their closest competitor Yahoo at 9% and MSN coming in at miniscule 5.0%. Armed with that bit of information why would anyone optimize their site for any other search engine than Google; to me it's simply a matter of fishing where the fish are biting?
