SNAGIT!

SNAGIT!

SnagIt 9 helps Microsoft users to capture, organize and share high-quality screen shots for presentations, blogs and documents. I just downloaded the newest version and I have become absolutely obsessed with this little gadget. What’s the Obsession with SnagIt? SnagIt! If you can see it, you can snag it. Here are just a few of the many different ways that make it easy to capture your screenshots.
  • Capture a Region.
  • Say goodbye to cropping. Use the region input to capture only the portion of the image that you want.
  • Capture an Entire Screen.
  • Use this input to capture your entire screen, but if you have multiple monitors, the screen will capture both monitors. To only capture one monitor, use Capture a Region.
  • Capture a Window.
  • Capture a window or element on the window such as the scroll bar, window frame, toolbar and title.
  • Capture a Scrolling Image.
  • Use this feature to capture images that are too long or wide to see in a window or browser. Different Auto Scroll options help you get exactly the capture you need.
Edit it! With this tool you can edit images that you have snagged or any other image that you would like to import into your library. Use an arrow or callout to draw attention. Other tools include stamps, arrows, drop shadow, edge effects and many more ingenious effects. Share it! This is one of my favorite SnagIt accessories. After snagging an image, simply head to the send tab and you can choose the output accessory so that you can embed images directly into your projects. Post images directly into your blog, email, Flickr, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel and many more Microsoft applications. Organize it! SnagIt saves everything automatically in your library, a huge timesaver! Capture images and organize them as you go along. SnagIt allows users to tag images to say things like “follow up” or “important” this way SnagIt users can go back and review notes instantly. That’s not it! There are many more nifty little tricks this software can do. So go ahead and give it a try, if you produce Windows screen shots on a regular basis I guarantee you too will become SnagIt 9 Obsessed. A free 30 day trial version is available for download.
