More Great Drupal Resources For Beginners
We're discovering useful new Drupal resources every day. My last post highlighted a few websites that offer great tutorials on a variety of Drupal topics; however, I forgot to mention one of my favorites.
Bob, over at Mustardseed Media, does great work. His videos are succinct and have top notch production values. I found his podcasts on Imagefield and Imagecache & Building A Video Gallery to be very helpful. In addition to video tutorials and podcasts, there are several books we have read that have helped us get through the Drupal learning curve. Some of our favorites are listed below:
This is the first book I know of to feature a dormouse on the cover. It is written by the Lullabot team. Enough said.
Front End Drupal: Designing, Theming, Scripting (Developer's Library)
Great work by Emma Hogbin and Konstantin Kafer. This book really helped me understand all of the moving parts that make up a Drupal theme.
Create new themes for your Drupal 6 site with clean layout and powerful CSS styling. Another good resource for understanding themes and layout.
A good intro. I'm hoping for a sequel that expands on some of their ideas.
Leveraging Drupal: Getting Your Site Done Right
There are a few copies of this floating around the office. I'm patiently awaiting my turn, but I've heard it's good.
