Send Your Business Card via Text Message
After I think there is one last business card at the bottom of my giant bag, I'll rummage through my contents and then say, "Oh, I thought I had one, but I don't." It's embarrassing, and it's a missed opportunity. Business cards are also somewhat of a cliche, and they can be difficult to manage over the years.
Last week, I came across contxts - it's a mobile sms service that you use to text your business card to people on-the-spot.
There are two ways people can receive your business card using contxts:
1. They can text your username to 50500 from their phone, or
2. You can text 50500 and send your business card to whatever phone number you provide
You will receive a confirmation when you send, or when some has requested, your information.
To try out a demo, text "DANIEL" to 50500.
Contxts is still in alpha, but you can start using the service right away and it's extremely simple to use/manage.
