38 Top Twitter Users in Dallas, Texas
As a new (or even experienced) Twitter user, it can be hard at first to know who exactly you should be following. You can start with the Twitter Elite, those users who are deemed to be the elite of Twitter due to extravagant follower counts. The problem with following just the Twitter Elite, however, is that you’ll rarely be able to start a good conversation.
Personally, I think the power of Twitter lies in your local connections - those users who are within a 20-50 mile radius of yourself (or at least in the same state!). If you’re well connected locally, you’ll be able to find out local news and events, meet-ups, tweet-ups, and other interesting bits of information. Plus, you may actually get to meet the people you talk to online! (Go figure, right?)
If you’re living in the Dallas or Fort Worth area, I’ve compiled a list of some of the best local DFW area Twitterers for you to follow. I’ve broken them up into categories - you have the “DFW Elite” those Twitteres who probably offer the most value to their followers. Then, you have as many local news media and event outlets I could find (to keep you up-to-date on local events!). And finally, this post would not be complete without a quick shout to some of the best LevelTen Twitterers.
Feel free to make your own suggestions for additions to the list by leaving a comment!
