10 Ways to Unclutter Your Office in Time for Spring
May is right around the corner, and here in Texas it is already reaching the 90’s at least once a week... that can only mean that it is time to bust out those daffodils and spring clean for a fresh, energized and bright office environment! Here are 10 quick and easy tips to get you started in the right direction!
1. Unclutter your desk. Throw the papers your don't need or have electronically away and file the rest. All those knick knacks you have collected need to go too, the simpler and cleaner the desk, the more productive you will be!
2. Organize your desktop and computer files. Start fresh everyday with a clean slate-and change your screensaver to something bright and energizing! It will be amazing how your brain is less frantic!
3. Switch out your black frames for some bright fun oranges, purples, yellows, pinks, etc. This will automatically brighten your work space up leaving you with a fun and energized feeling!
4. Renew your mind- anything that is harboring a grudge let it go and choose to spring clean into a clean start for yourself and co-workers around you. For hands on learners- write them all on a piece of paper and literally trash them!
5. Unsubscribe from all the emails you no longer want or need! Your uncluttered inbox will appreciate you!
6. Review your procedures/policies- could you do anything to make them more efficient?
7. Spruce up your wardrobe with some fun colors even if it is just a belt!
8.Upgrade all your software! So often the remind me in 4 days button pops up and is never updated, take the time to do so now. Push it before lunch and it should be done by the time you arrive back!
9. Take advantage of an outside happy hour after a good long Friday at work. Nothing says spring better than clean air and outside dining!
10.Buy a bunch of gorgeous daffodils at your local market or shop (they run for about $2.99 a bunch) and place them on your desk for the ultimate spring revival!
